Dr MJS Kadyakapita,PhD, MEd, BA, BEd is the Vice Chancellor of the University

Message from the Vice Chancellor

Malawi Adventist University (MAU) is dedicated to its mission of developing the mental, physical, spiritual, emotional and social dimensions of the youth and adults to enable them render self-less service to God and humankind in Malawi and beyond. The institution aspires to be a university of choice that fosters high academic and ethical standards in the development, acquisition, and dissemination of knowledge and truth and in rendering service. The inspiration is informed by a strong belief that academic and moral excellences are the most critical generative mechanisms needed in the sustainable development and transformation processes of society.

To achieve this, we offer value-based educational and vocational programmes that seek to develop the whole person spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. Admittedly, such a learning process lasts the whole lifetime of a student.

Our current challenge is to sustainably meet and satisfy the demand that arises in the institution’s socioeconomic environment. Therefore, we invite and welcome the participation of students, organisations; constituency and other stakeholders in building a university that would be among the world’s leading Christian institutions of higher education worldwide.

I am exceptionally grateful for the encouragement, support and feedback that we obtain from the constituency, the Government of Malawi, the corporate world, parents, guardians, members of the contiguous communities, and other individuals.

Thank you very sincerely.
